AMTB DESIGN & BUILD introduces the GUIDELINES to BUILD TRAILS FOR RIDERS WITH SPINAL CORD INJURIES
AMTB: DESIGN & BUILD
Working with adaptive athletes including Tara Llanes & Ethan Krueger, Trail Holistics has created a series of guidelines to build sustainable and fun aMTB trails while effectively managing risk and accommodating the varied needs of riders with spinal cord injuries. This workshop will provide participants with an indepth understanding of the particular requirements to design and build adaptive trails including the different types of SCI, different bikes/trikes and four-wheelers, turn radius, gradient, bridge design/TTFs, flowmentum and cascading design principles.
Participants will receive a printed copy of the 2nd Edition aMTB Guidelines.
APPLICABLE FOR: Volunteer and professional trail crews, managers and any non-motorized MTB trail associations.
TIMELINE:
Day 1 is a half day theory and half day field session to assess trails/TTFs to adapt to aMTB as well as create some theoretical layout of new aMTB trail.
