first nations ENGAGEMENT

Trail Holistics personnel continue to work collaboratively with First Nations throughout BC. Our work is in support of the principles outlined within the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples including the Ucluelet First Nation, Simpcw First Nation, Ditidaht First Nation and the Stó:lō Nation.

We continue to be engaged in a number of projects and initiatives with First Nations, working to support land stewardship on unceded lands including tourism development, park planning, trail and recreational development, including indigenous trail crew training and youth engagement.

We are proud to continue our work with First Nations in BC to deliver hands-on training for indigenous led work crews.

Our planning process includes AIA and AOA review to ensure sacred sites, traditional use areas and areas of archaeological importance are identified and respected.
